Bullis Charter School board members unanimously approved a five-year agreement with the Los Altos School District just before midnight Monday. The agreement, also unanimously approved by LASD trustees earlier in the evening, outlines facilities uses and ends litigation between the two parties.
The actions cap numerous hours of mediation and document review, work that had representatives working from Sunday night into Monday morning. The BCS board was continuing its review of the agreement during last night's meeting in closed session before making its late-night decision.
The final agreement did not differ greatly from the joint term sheet both sides publicized earlier this month. The term sheet outlined agreement stipulations – which includes dropping litigation, stabilizing charter school facilities for five years and more.
