From bacon berry shortcake to a pork belly potato salad, Executive Chef Colby Reade added an over-the-top spin to the special menu this week.
The smoked tomato and candied bacon bloody mary includes a pickled vegetable garden garnish, and the "Pork Stravaganza Sandwich" features house-made chorizo, pimento cheese, fried breaded pork cutlet, smoked chili aioli, pickled cabbage and grilled red onion.
Watch the Town Crier next week for more food news, including a journey into the kitchens of old California and a column on barbecue-friendly wines from local writer Christine Moore.
