An armed male suspect robbed Comerica Bank on Third Street last week, the second robbery at the bank in recent weeks.
An armed man robbed the Comerica Bank in downtown Los Altos last week, the second time a suspect has targeted the bank in as many months.
According to Los Altos Police Sgt. Scott McCrossin, an adult white male brandishing a handgun entered the bank at 275 Third St. at approximately 11 a.m. Thursday and demanded cash from a teller.
The suspect – described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, with a medium build – fled down Third Street with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured.
The suspect was dressed in a black-hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, and was wearing either a black ski mask or a scarf to partially obscure his face, McCrossin said.
He added that police searched the area and continue to investigate the incident.
An unknown adult white male robbed the same bank in early March, leaving a scene that included several bills wafting through the air on Third Street after the suspect made his escape.
Nearby Bank of the West has also been robbed twice this year.
