For the second time this year, Comerica Bank at 275 Third St. was the site of an armed bank robbery.
According to Los Altos Police Sgt. Scott McCrossin, a white male adult entered the bank at approximately 11 a.m. Thursday (April 11) with a handgun, demanding cash from a teller.
The suspect was dressed in a black-hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, and was wearing either a black ski mask or scarf to partially cover his face, McCrossin said.
The suspect – described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, with a medium build – fled down Third Street with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to McCrossin. He added that police searched the area and continue to investigate the incident.
An unknown white adult male robbed the same bank in early March, leaving a scene that included several dollar bills wafting through the air on Third Street after the suspect made his escape.
