A 8-screen movie theater may finally be coming to Los Altos, by way of the Mountain View border.
An 165-room hotel, multi-story parking structure, retail and office space are also on the list for a redevelopment planned to stretch along California Avenue, replacing buildings currently occupied by BevMo and Ross.
Merlone Geier, the developer currently wrapping up construction of apartments, a new Safeway and retail space in the San Antonio Center, submitted plans for a second phase of building yesterday (Feb. 26).
The developer signed two restaurants to its roster this month, including Paul Martin's American Bistro, a "back-to-the-farm" restaurant chain with five other locations in California.
Also coming to the Mountain View development, Lyfe Kitchen plans to open its third location. Known for vegan and gluten-free options and an abundance of veggies, the healthy-eating chain launched in downtown Palo Alto flagship last year, stewarded by a former McDonald's executive.
