Groovin' on the Green

A bed of green turf covered State Street's asphalt Sept. 28 for Groovin' on the Green, a celebration in honor of Los Altos' 60th Birthday. Live music, giant lamps, lawn chairs and strings of overhead lights transformed the town into a street festival for one night.

"Hidden History" Walking Tour

Over 75 local residents braved the heat to particapte in the "Hidden History" Walking Tour in downtown Los Altos Sept. 30. A 1924 Model T greeted local residents at their first tour stop at the Southern Pacific Train Depot, below.

Homecoming for Bobby McClellan

Los Altos resident Bobby McLean returned home Sept. 26 after doing three tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. His Osage Avenue neighborhood turned out to welcome him home. The 22-year-old just completed his service as a United States Army Ranger.
