Alison Marshall Palu entered into eternal rest on April 12, 2011, at her home in Los Altos, California. Alison was born on March 9, 1959, at San Jose, California, the daughter of Jack and Jane Marshall. She attended St. Williams Grammar School and was a graduate of Los Altos High School and Foothill College.
She is survived by her husband John Palu, daughters Megan and Molly Palu, who are students at Los Altos High School; her parents and siblings, Margaret Caraciollo (Paul), Scott Marshall (Deanna), John Marshall, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Kim Slusher Marshall in 2010.
Possessed of a high degree of organizational skills and unflagging energy, Alison was active in various matters involving St. Nicholas School and St. Nicholas Parish. She was an extraordinary cook and enjoyed watching cooking shows and trying new recipes.
She was diagnosed with two types of cancer in 2008 and was in remission at the time of her unexpected death.
Services have been held at St. Nicholas Church in Los Altos.
A college trust fund in Alison’s memory has been established for Meghan and Molly Palu by family and friends. Contributions to the fund may be made to the trustee, Michael Palu, 318 El Paseo, Millbrae, Ca 94030.
