FHDA students need homes

Homestays are urgently needed for Foothill-De Anza College students for three months, beginning in August. Hosts will be paid $700 per month to provide room, board and TLC.

Two MVLA seats to fill in November

Phil Faillace and Susan Sweeley will complete their terms on the Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District Board of Trustees in November. At press time, only Sweeley had filed to run for re-election.

Host families needed for Japanese students

Visiting Japanese high school students need host families for a 10-month period, Aug. 26-June 26, 2005.

Head Start has preschool openings

The Head Start program of Santa Clara and San Benito counties has a number of openings for young children in its preschool classes.

The half-day and full-day classes are offered at no cost to low-income families.

LA Parent Preschool seeks all alumni

Los Altos Parent Preschool plans to celebrate its 50th anniversary with an all-alumni reunion Aug. 21. The school is looking for the more than 500 families that have played together since 1954 to join a fun-filled 1950s theme party.
