A very large sewer repair project is underway in Los Altos to fix areas that were exhibiting signs of corrossion, according to Jim Gustafson, engineering services manager.
After completing repairs on Covington and Springer roads this week, the crews will begin work on a portion of Distel Drive July 5, according to Aida Fairman, associate civil engineer. Work is scheduled to be completed July 9, Fairman said.
The process involves plugging up the main line to conduct repairs and creating bypass lines above street levels, she said. There will be minor traffic disruption, she added.
