Thefts

Aug. 19, 8:49 a.m., 1000 block of Covington Road: An unknown suspect broke into a vending machine on the Blach Intermediate School campus and stole coins.

Aug. 20, 11:50 p.m., 600 block of University Avenue: A resident reported that an unknown suspect stole a package left on the porch. The victim estimated the loss at $175.

Residential burglaries

Aug. 20, 3:23 p.m., 1000 block of Crooked Creek Drive: An unknown suspect used a chair to enter a home through an unlocked master bedroom window and stole jewelry, a camera and an iPad. Police said the break-in occurred between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Aug. 21, 1:07 p.m., 0-100 block of Chester Circle: An unknown suspect entered a home through an unlocked bedroom window, ransacked the master bedroom and stole laptops and jewelry estimated at a combined value of $5,800.

Aug. 21, 1:26 p.m., 1000 block of Morton Avenue: An unknown suspect broke into a home through an unlocked window and ransacked it. The victims were unsure which items were stolen. Police said the burglary occurred between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Commercial burglary

Aug. 20, 7:48 p.m., 300 block of First Street: Police arrested a 48-year-old man after he allegedly attempted to steal several bottles of wine from Draeger’s Market. Police believe the suspect may be connected to wine thefts that occurred at Draeger’s earlier this year. The suspect was already wanted on an outstanding no-bail felony warrant. He was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.

Disorderly conduct

Aug. 21, 1:55 a.m., 5000 block of El Camino Real: Police responded to reports of an intoxicated man harassing customers at Carl’s Jr. Officers contacted the man, who left by bus.
