Residential burglaries

July 21, 12:01 p.m., 1000 block of Ranchita Drive: An unknown suspect entered a home construction site overnight, broke into a stand-alone storage unit and stole a flat-screen television.

July 22, 4:23 p.m., 500 block of Lincoln Avenue: Someone pried open a window to a home, ransacked the master bedroom and stole laptops and jewelry. The loss was approximately $27,000, police reported.

July 22, 5:16 p.m., 200 block of Portola Court: An unknown suspect entered a home through an unlocked rear door and ransacked the bedroom. The homeowner was uncertain which, if any, items were stolen from the home, police said.

July 25, 7:43 p.m., 300 block of North Avalon Drive: A house sitter checking on pets while the homeowners were out of town called police after discovering the backdoor unlocked. Police were waiting for the homeowners to return home before determining if anything was stolen from the residence.

Disturbances

July 25, noon, North San Antonio Road: Someone contacted police and reported that there were skateboarders in the civic center parking lot near city hall. The skateboarders were admonished by police and left the area.

July 27, 9:54 p.m., 4800 block of El Camino Real: Police responded to an argument between two individuals in the parking lot of Whole Foods Market. According to police, one of the subjects involved in the incident went to his car and displayed a stun gun to the other person but ultimately left the scene before police arrived.

July 28, 5:30 a.m., 400 block of East Edith Avenue: A male resident contacted police after an argument with his ex-girlfriend’s father turned physical. The father left the scene before police arrived. The male resident was undecided about pressing charges at the time, police noted.
