Driving with a suspended license

Dec. 18, 7:15 a.m., University and El Monte avenues: Police cited and later released from custody a male motorist after discovering that he was driving on a suspended license. Police made the discovery after pulling him over for an unrelated moving violation.

Auto burglaries

Dec. 18, 8 p.m. and 9:19 p.m., 900 block of Acacia Avenue and 4600 block of El Camino Real: An unknown suspect smashed the windows of two rental cars parked near Chef Chu’s restaurant but didn’t steal anything from either vehicle.

DUI crash

Dec. 18, 11:37 p.m., South El Monte Avenue and Foothill Expressway: A 37-year-old male motorist from Mountain View was transported to Stanford Hospital with minor injuries after his car struck a pine tree and flipped over. Police at the scene determined that he was driving under the influence of alcohol. The man was cited and released by police after being treated for his injuries.

Burglary attempt

Dec. 19, 7:55 p.m., 200 block of Paso Robles Avenue: A resident contacted police after discovering two pry marks on the front door of his or her home. No entry was made and nothing was reported stolen.
