May 11, 12:07 p.m., 900 block of Thatcher Court: An unknown suspect entered a residential construction site and cut the lock on a storage container, stealing $8,000 worth of tools and plumbing fixtures.
May 12, 1:24 a.m., North San Antonio Road and El Camino Real: Police arrested a male motorist initially pulled over for speeding on El Camino Real for driving under the influence of alcohol after he registered a 0.173 blood alcohol level. The motorist was cited and later released from the Los Altos Police Station.
Petty theft arrest
May 12, 2:13 p.m., 4800 block of El Camino Real: Police arrested a 59-year-old female for petty theft after she attempted to leave Whole Foods Market with $70 worth of seafood. According to police, the woman and her husband were leaving the store when a security guard confronted them. The husband fled the scene before police arrived, leaving his wife behind. The female suspect was later booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail.
