The long-heralded art installations from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) get underway this weekend at the intersection of State and Fourth streets.
A public art exhibit planned in situ in the intersection is scheduled for installation Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 12-13).
During the installation, traffic will be diverted and the intersecation blockaded. Businesses and parking plazas will remain accessible.
The city anticipates reopening the road to traffic by 7 a.m. Monday morning.
SFMOMA's plans for Los Altos include works from 7 contemporary artists tuned to the spirit of the city.
