Stanford Hospital and Clinics’ injury prevention supervisor Ellen Corman is scheduled to discuss fall prevention and Stanford’s free, home-based Farewell to Falls program 1 p.m. Thursday in the Program Room of the Los Altos main library, 13 S. San Antonio Road.
The presentation is designed for adults 65 and older who have fallen or are concerned about falling, as well as family members and caregivers.
Emergency services coordinators Mike Sanders and George Hurst of the Santa Clara County Fire Department will also be on hand to share tips, publicize resources and answer questions on personal emergency preparedness.
Co-sponsors of the event include the Los Altos/Los Altos Hills Senior Commission, the cities of Los Altos and Los Altos Hills, the Santa Clara County Fire Department, the Santa Clara County Library District and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.
Admission is free. RSVPs are preferred.
