Those interested in showing off their talents have an opportunity to take the stage at “Los Altos Live!,” the fifth annual talent show featuring local performers of all ages.

Auditions are scheduled noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in Room 803 at Los Altos High School, 201 Almond Ave. The “Live” event is slated 7:30 p.m. April 20 at Los Altos High’s Eagle Theater.

Performers must register to audition. Forms are available at the audition or online at (scan through “News Flash” items to “‘Los Altos Live!’ auditions slated”) to access the form. A parent or legal guardian must sign for child performers.

“We really, really want to encourage acts of all ages to come and audition,” said organizer Abby Althoff. “Anyone who lives in and/or around Los Altos is welcome – that is basically everyone.”

Past events have featured performers ranging in age from younger than 10 to older than 80. Talents on display include juggling, stand-up comedy, singing, dancing and piano and violin virtuosos.

Proceeds from the Los Altos Cultural Association-sponsored event benefit the Camp Everytown program. Camp Everytown is a four-day leadership-training program for high school students designed to reduce stereotyping and prejudice while increasing understanding and respect for others.
