Cal Water schedules rate workshop
California Water Service Company has scheduled a rate workshop 6 p.m. Thursday at the Cal Water Field Office, 1555 Miramonte Ave., Los Altos.
The workshop will provide information about the company’s General Rate Case (GRC) application for the Los Altos District, filed with the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).
Representatives from Cal Water will offer details about planned water system improvements, rates and how the rates are set. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions.
“We want to help customers understand the GRC filing and the rate-setting process,” said Michael Luu, acting Los Altos District manager.
Luu added that any increase approved by the CPUC would not become effective until 2014, and a formal public hearing hosted by the CPUC will follow the rate workshop next year.
