Bob Ray, the self-described “international artist with a camera,” and artist Jill Denton present photography in the new wave of art exhibition titled a “Flash Gallery.” The one-night-only event is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Dec. 12 at 164 Main St. in downtown Los Altos.
A “Flash Gallery” is a one-night event held in select locations, such as wineries, Main Street stores and private estates across the United States and Europe. The events are designed for visitors to experience new photography, become inspired and meet the artists who created it.
Ray, a Saratoga resident, believes and begins every appearance with the motto “Cameras don’t take pictures, people do.”
He teaches and shoots photography around the world and is slated to show work from his recent three-month European tour.
Denton, a Pleasanton resident, creates “TreeForm” in acrylics, a forest of colorful, curvy trees, each with its own feminine charm. Denton’s artistic eye has a new focus on photography shot and produced exclusively on an iPad.
