The Friendship Circle fundraiser draws a happy crowd.

The Bay Area Friendship Circle’s annual “WalkWithFC” fundraiser June 1 generated more than $94,000 to support children with special needs and their families, surpassing organizers’ $90,000 goal.

Held in and around the Oshman Family Jewish Community Center on San Antonio Road in Palo Alto, the fundraiser featured a 3-kilometer family walk with games and prizes, followed by a barbecue and bicycle show.

Michelle Gottlieb of Los Altos called The Friendship Circle “an amazing organization that provides incredible services to children.” She said her son, Jeffrey, has cerebral palsy and has benefited greatly.

The nonprofit organization conducts winter and summer camps and a Friends at Home program.
