Sallie Morgan, of Seville Properties, has completed an advanced course in marketing new homes conducted by the Residential Sales Council of the Realtors National Marketing Institute in New Orleans, La.
During the two-day course, many areas of home sales were covered in depth, such as merchandising and marketing of both construction and resales. Also noted were current topics of concern to builders, including target market specificity, new products and consumer acceptance, and buyer after-sales service.
"Selling a new home and selling a resale property are as different as night and day," Morgan said. "I learned many new and exciting techniques to sell builder product and issues concerning today's knowledgeable buyers. I have already began to implement the ideas covered in this course in my work in Seville Properties.
Seville celebrates 18th anniversary
Seville Properties celebrated the firm's 18 year anniversary on a high note, treating its corporate family to an operatic gala at the Los Gatos Opera House.
Highlights of the recent event included a private operetta performed by the West Bay's renowned soloist Wendy Harman-Carr and San Francisco's own Michael Rogers. An elegant sit-down dinner for 250 was followed by dancing. The evening was topped off with a fantasy flight upstairs for a special "Monte Carlo Casino Night," staged in the opera house balcony overlooking the dance floor.
