Rancho Shopping Center will host a "Tax Free Community Mixer" for the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce 5:30-7 p.m. this coming Thursday.
The pre-income tax day event will mark the beginning of the shopping center's community events season. Refreshments will be provided, free of charge, by Andronico's Market, Lappert's Ice Cream, Papa Murphy's Pizza, Rancho Swiss Bakery, Sonoma Valley Bagel and Starbucks.
One dollar donations that will benefit the Chamber of Commerce will qualify donors for dozens of door prizes for merchandise and services from the Rancho shops. New members, joining the evening of the community mixer will receive double their number of entry coupons.
"The entire community is invited to attend our mixer, not just the business community," said Rancho Merchant Association president David Leary. "We hope people will come to this party that haven't been to Rancho for years."
The week following the mixer, the Foothill Men's Garden Club will hold its annual show, followed by the P.T.A. benefit pancake breakfast, Rancho Roundup, on June 7.
The 4th annual "Free Jazz at Rancho" series will begin July 2 continuing on alternating Wednesday evenings through Aug. 27. Complete schedule of the summer's events will be available at the April 10th mixer.
Rancho Shopping Center is located at Foothill Expressway and Springer Road in Los Altos.
