Consignment store finds new home

Estatements Luxury Consignment store owner Connie May, pictured, hopes that her recent move to 395 Main St. will be her last for quite a while.

May relocated her business to the former home of Peggy’s Health Center in mid-November after spending the previous six months at Rancho Shopping Center. Prior to that move, May’s business had called 331 First St. home for more than three years.

May told the Town Crier that her latest relocation to Main Street fulfills a goal of hers since establishing the business nearly five years ago.

“I’ve wanted this place for a long time – it was an instant grab,” said May, whose store offers a variety of designer and estate jewelry and high-end, name-brand shoes and accessories. “So this is it. As Brigham Young said when he discovered the (Salt Lake) valley, ‘This is the right place.’”

So far, May said her move to Main Street has lived up to expectations. She cited increased foot traffic and greater visibility as benefits.

“This location on Main Street is just wonderful – and quite busy,” she said with a chuckle.
