Los Altos resident and cellist Sarah Hong is scheduled to perform a benefit recital 7 p.m. Saturday at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 600 Colorado Ave., Palo Alto.
Hong will perform with her duo partner, Japanese pianist Makiko Ooka. Additionally, Seyoung Lee will play the violin, with Caroline Lee on the viola.
The program includes J.S. Bach’s Cello Suite No. 6 in D Major, BWV 1012; Max Bruch’s Kol Nidrei, Op. 47; Samuel Barber’s Sonata for cello and piano in C minor, Op. 6; and Johannes Brahms’ Piano Quartet No. 3 in C minor, Op. 60.
Admission is free; suggested donation is $20 per family.
Hong is slated to perform the same program 4 p.m. Sunday at the Old First Church, 1751 Sacramento St., San Francisco. Tickets are $5-$17, free for children 12 and under.
