'Mozart Comes to CSMA' this Sunday

The Community School of Music and Arts presents “Mozart Comes to CSMA” this weekend in Mountain View.

Free performances are scheduled 2 and 4 p.m. Sunday in Tateuchi Hall at CSMA, 230 San Antonio Circle.

Actors, CSMA students and faculty musicians come together to tell the story of Mozart’s life. The production includes live music, acting and singing.

“‘Mozart Comes to CSMA’ is a unique production that will provide a wonderful, lighthearted introduction to the music of one of the world’s most famous composers – as well as the joy of classical music,” said Vickie Scott Grove, CSMA’s executive director.

Dawn Walker wrote and directs “Mozart.” She teaches flute lessons and preschool music classes at CSMA and performs regularly with the Monterey Symphony and the San Francisco Ballet and Opera orchestras.

Sunday’s performers include Amy Bouchard (CSMA faculty in voice) and Antoine van Dongen (CSMA faculty in violin), along with actors Mike Baker (as Mozart) and Melvign Badiola (Papageno).
