Ragazzi, Young Women's Chorus join forces for concert Saturday

Ragazzi Boys Chorus and the Young Women’s Chorus of San Francisco are scheduled to perform together 8 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 625 Hamilton Ave., Palo Alto.

The collaboration, titled “Young Women, Young Men: Together We Sing,” features performances of Giovanni Martini’s “Domine adjuvandum me festina,” Gabriel Fauré’s “Cantique de Jean Racine” and Leonard Bernstein’s “Make Our Garden Grow” and “Somewhere.”

Additionally, Ragazzi will perform a variety of festive works, including the spiritual “Wade in the Water” and a Dale Wood arrangement of the plainsong “Conditor Alme.” The Young Women’s Chorus will perform an array of songs including Hildegard von Bingen’s “Karitas habundant,” Frank La Rocca’s “Ave Maris Stella” and Johannes Brahms’ “Regina Coeli.”

Tickets are $10-$30 in advance, $10-$35 at the door.
