LAHS sponsors eWaste event

Los Altos High School has scheduled an electronic waste drive 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 2 in the school parking lot, 201 Almond Ave.

Green Mouse Recycling, a state-approved electronic waste recycling service for schools, will oversee the event. Students and school officials will ensure that all items are recycled according to state rules and regulations.

Electronic items accepted include but are not limited to monitors, televisions, computers, laptops, telecom equipment, wires/cables, PC boards, scrap metal, mice, keyboards, printers, fax and copy machines, stereo equipment, DVD/CD/MP3 players, microwave ovens, small appliances and VHS and audio cassette tapes.

Arrangement for pick up of larger items is available before March 2.
