Resident of Los Altos

Born Dorothy Janet Mimeau in Burlington, VT. As a nurse in Washington D.C. she married Dr. Vincent Murphy. They moved to California in 1953, originally settling in Palo Alto, then became longtime residents of Los Altos. Dorothy was a full time mother, involved in the original Children’s Home Society, and the El Camino Hospital Auxillary. In 1988 they relocated to Carmel Valley for their “Golden Years” creating more memories and friends. They returned in 2005 finally settling in Saratoga where Dorothy enjoyed playing bridge, good hands or not, with her friends, and knitting with her cat Lucky nearby. She passed on Sat. Jan 12. She is survived by her loving husband Vincent of sixty three years, seven children, seventeen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. We will all miss her very much.
