Drivers, pedestrians and cyclists traveling through Los Altos Hills should be prepared for one-way travel and detours on Fremont Road through March.
The Los Altos Hills Public Works Department is completing construction work for the Safe Route to Los Altos Hills School Project along the north side of Fremont Road between Miranda and Manuella roads. The project includes the construction of granite pathways, curb ramps and a wood retaining wall.

Traffic delays have been reported near Gardner Bullis School and may remain in effect until the project is complete.

From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., car traffic in front of the school will run East to West. Drivers may only turn right out of the school and cars may not stop to drop off children. Similarly, cars may not stop to drop off children or make a U-turn on West Edith Road.

The pathway along the north side of Fremont Road from West Edith to Gardner Bullis is open to pedestrians and cyclists. Those traveling by foot can use the crosswalks at Miranda and Fremont Pines Lane to walk into the school.

Car detour hours:

8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays (except when raining)
