Foothill continues winter registration

The Foothill College Winter Quarter 2013 class schedule is available online at www.foothill.edu/schedule/schedule.php.

Winter registration is open through Sunday. Unless otherwise noted in the schedule, courses begin Monday and continue through March 27.

California residents pay $31 per unit plus basic fees for Foothill courses.

Living Classroom seeks volunteers

The Los Altos School District’s Living Classroom Program seeks volunteers who enjoy working with students and appreciate nature.

The program reaches all grade levels within the district and includes hands-on education in science, math and social studies.

A docent, an assistant docent and one or two volunteer parents direct lessons inside or outside the classroom.

Training and materials are provided. Training sessions are scheduled 8:30-11:30 a.m. Jan. 14 and 28 and Feb. 4 at the school district offices, 201 Covington Road, Los Altos.
