Foothill College Campus Police reported that a young man allegedly armed with a gun confronted two male students and stole their backpacks Nov. 19. Foothill College spokesman Kurt Hueg told the Town Crier the suspect encountered the victims on a footbridge connecting the school’s gymnasium to the main campus area. Statements from the victims claimed that the suspect had a gun tucked into his belt during the robbery, which occurred at approximately 9 a.m., Hueg said.
The suspect, who remains at large, was last seen running on the school’s footbridge onto the campus. He is described as an 18- to 25-year old African-American standing 5-foot, 7-inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He has close-cropped black hair and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
