Liz and Lou Becker, 50 years

Los Altos residents Liz and Lou Becker celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 7 in Hawaii. They met in Pittsburgh, where Liz worked and Lou went to work in the aerospace industry after graduating from the University of Iowa. They spent their honeymoon driving across the country to California, where Lou was transferred.

Lou is a former Los Altos mayor and city councilmember. Liz is active in local nonprofit groups.
