The Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District’s Board of Directors will update progress on its Vision Plan at a meeting scheduled 6 p.m. today at Hillview Community Center, 97 Hillview Ave., Los Altos.
The board will prioritize 39 potential projects for the plan, which will guide management and programming for the next 20 to 40 years.
Project areas include improving and expanding access to preserves, creating connections among open space lands and protecting critical habitats. These include second- and old-growth redwood forests, preserving agriculture on the coast and restoring creeks.
Over the past 16 months, the district gathered input from 2,000 local residents and conducted an in-depth scientific analysis of its lands and natural resources.
