SCCAOR appoints new president

The Santa Clara County Association of Realtors named Myron Von Raesfeld, pictured above with his wife, Pam, its president earlier this month.

The Santa Clara County Association of Realtors (SCCAOR) earlier this month named Myron Von Raesfeld the organization’s new president.

Von Raesfeld was installed along with other officers and members of association’s board of directors at a Jan. 17 luncheon. He succeeds 2013 President Carl San Miguel.

“I cannot help but be excited and eager for our industry in this coming year,” Von Raesfeld said. “Interest rates are predicted to remain low throughout the year, the job market is looking great for Santa Clara County, the national economy is beginning to improve and we have a terrific board of directors to lead this powerful association.”

Von Raesfeld said his goal as the association’s new president will be to focus on the association’s members.

“If it doesn’t do something for our members, I’m not interested in working on it,” he said.

In addition to his duties as president-elect, Von Raesfeld volunteered for the association’s Professional Standards Committee, Government Relations Committee and Board of Realtors Political Action Committee in 2013. He also served as an ethics advocate. Last year marked his sixth year as Santa Clara County Association of Realtors director and fifth year as director of the California Association of Realtors.

Von Raesfeld, who serves as broker/owner of ClickHome Realty and RealSource Property Management in Santa Clara, brings nearly 30 years of experience to the association.

“We are always stronger when we have leadership that comes from real world, on the streets doing business, and that is what we have with our 2014 president,” San Miguel said. “(Von Raesfeld) brings 30 years of experience selling, listing and managing real estate, so we will be well represented in the coming year, keeping our association strong and a community player.”
