For local residents who are retired, semi-retired or thinking about retirement, Avenidas has scheduled its third annual financial conference, “Building Security for Longevity,” 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Avenidas, 450 Bryant St., Palo Alto.
“At Avenidas, we are committed to helping older adults maintain the highest quality of life possible at every age, and we know how crucial it is for baby boomers to learn more about taxes, Social Security, Medicare, estate planning and long-term care insurance so that they can retire comfortably when they are ready,” said Lisa Hendrickson, Avenidas president and CEO.
Alan Zafran, managing director of Luminous Capital, is slated to deliver the keynote address, “The Year Ahead: Facts, Fiction and Forecasts.” Participants will then have their choice of nine workshops to attend.
Cost is $50. Lunch may be purchased for an additional $10 and is payable upon registration.
