Loving and beloved Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, and Friend passed at home January 1, with the very same grace with which he lived his full life. Family was by his side. He was born Friday, June 13, 1924 in Mobile, Alabama to Lionel L. and Rose Reiss Levy. They and his dear sister Marjorie left us before he did.

He joins Ekky, his bride of 57 years, and they will live on in their children, Michael and his wife Tonya, his sister Jeanne, their nephew Michael David, extended family, and in the hearts of those whose lives they touched.

Auburn Tiger, Class of 1948. Received a Masters Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Cal Tech where he later served as a professor. An original member of the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, he was honored with the H. Julian Allen Award and the NASA Exceptional Service Medal for his essential scientific contributions to manned space flight. Awarded the Silver Star for Gallantry in Action, World War II. 

The unconditional love he personified and devoted to his family in every imaginable role, he also delighted in sharing with our family of friends. Now we are each the less, yet only by a fraction of all he gave.

His life will be celebrated January 17, 2014 at 11:45 a.m. at the Woodside Village Church, 3154 Woodside Rd, Woodside, CA and forever after.
