The Museum of American Heritage’s other current exhibition, “A History of Television,” highlights TV’s early years, when it became a major source of entertainment and had a vast cultural impact. The exhibition is slated to run through March 23 in Palo Alto.
“A History of Television” displays a variety of 1940s- and 1950s-era TV sets from the museum’s collection. The display explores everything from how a TV works to its social impacts. Attendees may view TV programs and commercials from the 1950s and 1960s. In addition, the exhibition includes a collection of TV-inspired lunch boxes and hands-on activities for children.
The museum is located at 351 Homer Ave. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays through Sundays. Admission is free.
