Xu is an All-American
St. Francis High golfer Nancy Xu was named to the 2013 HP Scholastic Junior All-America Team. “I’m super excited,” the senior said. “I never thought I’d get it.” Sponsored by Hewlett-Packard, the team comprises 12 boys and 12 girls who have demonstrated the ability to excel on the golf course and in the classroom. To be eligible, boys must have placed in the top 10 of an American Junior Golf Association Open or Invitational; girls needed a top-five finish. The selections were then based on grade point average, class rank, test scores, community service and writing ability. Xu scored a 2,310 on the SAT and carries a weighted GPA of 4.50. On the golf course, she tallied three top-20 performances.
