LAUMC offers Advent activities

Los Altos United Methodist Church has scheduled two activities to celebrate Advent.

• Creekside Christmas: 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday in Creekside Center at the church. Children and parents are invited to make 15 Christmas crafts to take home, participate in music and games, and enjoy treats. A suggested donation of $10 per person or $30 per family covers the cost of materials. Bring an unwrapped gift to donate to a child in need through Hope’s Corner and the Community Services Agency.

• The Longest Night – A Service of Solace: 7:30 p.m. Dec. 16 in the church’s sanctuary. The church offers a space of peace, reflection and comfort during the holiday season. The service is designed for people who may be feeling sad, tired or stressed, but all are invited to experience an hour of candlelit prayer, meditation, music and a brief message. Child care is available, and refreshments will be served.

Los Altos United Methodist Church is located at 655 Magdalena Ave.
