Madrigals sing for Federated Woman’s Club

The Federated Woman’s Club of Los Altos has scheduled the Mountain View High School Madrigals to perform a medley of Christmas carols at its Dec. 4 meeting at Michaels at Shoreline, 2960 N. Shoreline Blvd., Mountain View. A business meeting is scheduled at 11 a.m., followed by lunch and the Madrigals performance at 1 p.m.

Members are encouraged to bring an unwrapped gift to donate to Help One Child, a local nonprofit organization that the club sponsors.

Admission is open to the public, but advance reservations are required.

Hidden Villa hosts online auction

Hidden Villa has scheduled its inaugural Holiday Online Auction through Dec. 10.

The auction features artisan oils, soaps and candles; gift certificates to local area restaurants and businesses; and getaways to popular Bay Area destinations.

Auction organizers encourage local residents to search the auction site for holiday gifts.

Proceeds from the auction will support the Los Altos Hills-based organic farm and nature preserve’s educational programs, partnerships and scholarships.

Children’s Corner holds baby-clothing drive

Los Altos-Mountain View Children’s Corner preschool has scheduled a holiday clothing drive to benefit the nonprofit Loved Twice, which supplies newborns in need with quality used baby clothing and accessories for the first year of life.

Items accepted include blankets, socks, hats, board books, pants, bibs, jackets, dresses, diapers and Baby Bjorn carriers.

Drop gently used accessories and clothing in sizes for newborns to 12 months 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays at Children’s Corner, Hillview Community Center, 97 Hillview Ave., Los Altos.

Volunteer awards scheduled Dec. 13

The 31st Los Altos-Los Altos Hills Joint Community Volunteer Service Awards Luncheon is scheduled 11:45 a.m. Dec. 13 at Fremont Hills Country Club, 12889 Viscaino Place, Los Altos Hills. The awards recognize volunteers whose service has impacted Los Altos and/or Los Altos Hills.
