Pumpkins for sports
The annual Los Altos High School Pumpkin Patch – benefiting the school’s athletic program – is slated 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Thursday in the student parking lot. Pumpkins of almost all shapes and sizes will be available for purchase. The pumpkin patch is bigger this year, featuring a spooky tunnel walk, a haunted graveyard and snacks (popcorn and lemonade). Los Altos High is located at 201 Almond Ave.
Shot at Cooperstown
The Los Altos-Mountain View PONY Baseball Mavericks, a Cooperstown Club Team for players 12-and-under, has scheduled tryouts 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 7 at Covington School, 201 Covington Road, Los Altos. Registration, required to try out, begins Friday. The team is set to compete in Cooperstown, N.Y., June 14-20. To register or for more information, visit lamvpb.org.
