The Los Altos History Museum has scheduled a series of programs to complement its latest exhibition, “A Place to Call Home: Two Centuries of California Living,” which runs through Oct. 6.
• 2-3:30 p.m. Aug. 18: “Perspectives on Historic Preservation,” a panel discussion moderated by Julie Fry, exhibition team member.
• 1:30-3:30 p.m. Sept. 22: “The Evolution of the American Home,” a presentation by Jonathan Pearlman, principal of Elevation Architects and exhibition contributor. Pearlman will discuss how the many ways people live and work change their homes.
The Los Altos History Museum is located at 51 S. San Antonio Road. Hours are noon to 4 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays. The gardens, outdoor agricultural exhibits and picnic area are accessible at all times. Admission is free.
