Residential burglaries

June 25, 11:18 a.m., 1600 block of Oak Avenue: An unknown suspect cut the screen to a bathroom window to gain entry to a residence and stole approximately $5,000 worth of jewelry.

June 25, 7:33 p.m., 200 block of West Portola Avenue: A burglar entered the home by prying open a bedroom window. The suspect ransacked the home, stealing jewelry and cash.

June 27, 8:19 a.m., 900 block of Spencer Way: An unknown suspect entered a home, currently being remodeled, by prying open a side garage door. The suspect stole several tools belonging to the onsite construction crew.

Public accident

June 27, 4:12 p.m., Main and Second streets: A woman bleeding from her head was transported by ambulance to Stanford Hospital after she fell on the sidewalk near Jamba Juice.

Motorist arrested for meth possession

June 29, 1:58 a.m., 2000 block of Louise Lane: Police arrested a 52-year-old San Jose man for possessing methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia. According to police, officers approached the suspect, who was asleep in his car. He later consented to a search of his vehicle, which turned up the drugs. The suspect was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.

DUI arrest

June 29, 6:46 p.m., El Camino Real and Los Altos Avenue: Officers responded to a resident’s report of a motorist passed out in his vehicle while in a left-turn lane on El Camino Real. Responding officers contacted the 26-year-old male motorist – a Sunnyvale resident – in question and determined that he was driving under the influence of alcohol. The motorist was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
