Gunilla and Tom Follett of Los Altos coordinate next month’s Links to the Heart golf tournament, which benefits Pathways Home Health and Hospice.
Los Altos residents Gunilla and Tom Follett head the committee for the inaugural Links to the Heart golf tournament, scheduled July 15 at the Stanford University Golf Course. Proceeds benefit Pathways Home Health and Hospice.
The event is slated to begin with the putting contest at 11 a.m., followed by the shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.
The tourney offers contests, prizes and a box lunch, along with a reception and dinner at which the prizes will be awarded.
The course, located in the foothills above Stanford, ranked as the nation’s third-best college course in a poll of golf coaches in 2009.
Proceeds from next month’s event will help patients and families facing the end of life, according to organizers. Sunnyvale-based Pathways has served the Bay Area for more than 35 years.
Registration is $375 per player or $1,500 per foursome.
