Noteworthies

The following students made the fall 1999 dean's list from Columbia University: Julie Ashton of Los Altos; Jane Kim of Los Altos; Daniel Rafinejad of Los Altos Hills; and Davis Susman of Los Altos.

Deborah Wells, daughter of Suzanne Wells of Los Altos, has been named Spotlight Publicity Director for the Associated Students of Linfield College.

Wells is a 1998 graduate of Los Altos High School.

Tommy Williams of Los Altos, a senior at Homestead High School, is a recipient of the California Alumni Association scholarship for the 2000-2001 academic year and will attend UC Berkeley in the fall. He was valedictorian of his graduating class.

Ben Otto of Los Altos graduated from Prescott College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Outdoor Experiential Education May 7.

Jacalyn K. Price of Los Altos Hills, a sophomore in the School of Architecture at Syracuse University, was recently named to the school's University 100, a group of students who work with the Chancellor's Office and the Office of Admissions.

Kathryn Woodward Moll, daughter of Leah and Alan Moll of Los Altos, graduated from Wellesley College in Massachusetts May 26.

She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in architecture and will be attending the Graduate school of Architecture in Charlottesville, Virginia. She is a 1996 graduate from Los Altos High School.

Josh Seth Gopen of Los Altos was the speaker at his graduation from the John Muir College of UC San Diego.

Rana Husseini, daughter of Tamer and Teri Husseini of Los Altos, has been elected to the Leadership Council of the Nu Omicron chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi at Vanderbilt University.
