Kevin Aflatooni, Mark Jones and Andrew Stewart received their Eagle Scout Awards Sunday in a Court of Honor ceremony at Los Altos United Methodist Church. The Scouts are members of Los Altos Boy Scout Troop 33, part of the Pacific Skyline Council, Stanford District.
To earn their Eagle ranks, the Scouts planned and implemented projects that involved more than 200 hours of community service.
Aflatooni, a senior at Homestead High School, is a member of the varsity water polo team. For his Eagle Scout project, he built a reading garden for Almond School in Los Altos. He belongs to the Order of the Arrow Society, ranking as a brotherhood member.
Jones, a senior at Homestead High School, is a member of the varsity water polo team. For his Eagle Scout project, he built a California native habitat garden for Loyola School in Los Altos. The garden will be used to teach students about natural environments and water conservation.
Stewart is a freshman at the University of Oregon. His hobbies include photography and water polo. For his Eagle project, he built record boards for the Monta Vista High School swim team. He is a brotherhood member of the Arrow Society.
