LA Lutheran's Faith Alive series announces fall schedule

Vaccarello

The Faith Alive Series has scheduled its fall speakers 7:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at Los Altos Lutheran Church, 460 S. El Monte Ave.

The series invites individuals to share their stories of guidance, perseverance and encouragement following severe trauma or stress.

• Sept. 9 – Vincent "Skip" Vaccarello, president and CEO of Applied Weather Technology, will explain how he became a follower of Christ and the challenges he meets on a daily basis in the workplace and beyond.

• Oct. 14 – Bernet Rosner was taken from his Hungarian home to Auschwitz Concentration Camp in Poland with his parents and brother when he was only 12. Rosner will discuss how his years in Hebrew school helped him survive when the rest of his family perished.

• Nov. 11 – Kim Golter, founder, president and CEO of Jeremiah's Promise, a volunteer organization dedicated to helping young ladies after they turn 18 and are no longer eligible for foster homes, will review the challenges of his work.

The Los Altos Town Crier is the media sponsor for Faith Alive.
