San Jose Holiday Festival

The San Jose Convention Center will be the scene of the San Jose Harvest Festival, November 28-30. Handmade arts and crafts, quilts, wearable art, and seasonal food items are just a few of the attractions, which will also includestrolling entertainers, stage performances, and artist demonstrations. Cloggers, marionettes, Appalachian folk dancers, and stiltwalkers are all included in the admission price, which is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors 55 or over, and $3.50 for children 6-12; children five and younger are free. Bring a canned or boxed food item for Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara County to receive $1 off the regular adult admission price. Hours are Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Information:(707)778-6300.

Christmas at Filoli

Snow balls (dance parties), children's parties, holiday buffets, and unique holiday shopping opportunities will all be part of "Christmas at Filoli," from November 29 through December 6. For information about which parties and shopping times are still available, call (650)354-8300, ext. 508.

Filoli is a historic Woodside estate included in the National Trust for Historic Properties.

College Terrace Holiday House Tour

Five houses in the historic College Terrace district of Palo Alto will be open Sunday, December 14 from 1 - 4 p.m. Docents in period costumes will tell each home's history and refreshments will be served.
