In response to a request from the pathways committee for more time to review public input gathered from its last three meetings concerning the 2004 Master Pathway Map, the Los Altos Hills City Council last week postponed the second round of pathways hearings until January 2005.
The public hearings had been scheduled for Sept. 28-30. The first round of hearings were held by the pathways committee at the end of August.
The September hearings were supposed to be the last step before the council reviewed the 2004 Master Pathway Map in December.
The pathways committee made the request after receiving numerous letters and e-mails from the public in addition to the input gathered from those who addressed the committee during the August hearings. Approximately 120 residents attended the meetings.
"What we want to do now and what is so vital is that we respond to each letter, e-mail and every person who spoke with a visit to the properties and with follow-up meetings, so that we can revisit the map to see how things can be adjusted," said Ginger Summit, vice chairman of the pathways committee.
