Ryan Mardesich stars as Moritz in Foothill Music Theatre’s “Spring Awakening,” closing this weekend in Los Altos Hills.

This is the final weekend to catch the Foothill Music Theatre production of “Spring Awakening.”

Performances are scheduled through Sunday in Los Altos Hills.

The rock musical – which has won eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical – tells the story of teenage self-discovery and budding sexuality through the eyes of three teens. It features music by Duncan Sheik and book and lyrics by Steven Sater.

Milissa Carey directs the Foothill production, supported by Mark Hanson (musical direction) and Amanda Folena (choreography).

The cast includes Juliana Lustenader (as Wendla), Jason Rehklau (Melchior), Ryan Mardesich (Moritz), Brandon Leland (Hanschen), Warren Wernick (Ernst), Casey Ellis (Ilse), Holly Smolik (Martha), Carissa McElravy (Thea), Mark Sanders (Georg), Dillon Mena (Otto) and Taylor Sanders (Anna).

Performances are scheduled 7:30 p.m. Thursday, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday in the Lohman Theatre at Foothill College, 12345 S. El Monte Road.

“Awakening” contains mature themes (sexual situations, partial nudity and strong language).

Tickets are $10-$28; parking is $3 (lot 8 provides the easiest access).

For advance tickets and more information, call 949-7360 or visit www.foothillmusicals.com.
