A group of local residents concerned about regional housing density has scheduled a town hall meeting 6:45 p.m. March 6 at Harry’s Hofbrau, 390 Saratoga Ave., San Jose.

The event, aimed at residents of Los Altos, Los Gatos, Saratoga and Monte Sereno, will address regional housing growth plans expected to affect the look and feel of suburban neighborhoods and schools.

According to Los Gatos resident Bob White, one of the event organizers, high-density housing and transit-oriented development urbanizes towns. He added that residents concerned about change in their hometowns need to provide input to local elected officials.

Attendees are invited to arrive early to eat before the presentation begins at 6:45.
